about

I was dismissed from Asbury college in Wilmore. I went to Seattle Pacific College (now University) for one quarter. Driving alone across country, coming back to Wilmore, and my girlfriend (later wife) in Michigan, was a difficult winter journey. I started this song in a warm house in the frozen tundra of Montana, headed toward Michigan and Wilmore, Kentucky.

lyrics

Colour of mountains sound of sea tell my loved one that she'll soon be seeing me all around her snow in season bless this Love I've found that gives me reason
Can't get over the mountains if I could you know I'd fly I've been driving since this morning not a lot of road was dry
Be what you want to be I need a friend right now all that I need to see is where I stand and how
Can't get back home to Kentucky if it were downhill I guess I could roll but I need gas in the gas tank and I need love in my soul
Be what you want to be I need a friend right now all that I need to see is where I stand and how
